Your privacy is important to us. As
such, it is Agapenet's policy to respect the confidentiality of information
and the privacy of individuals. The Agapenet.com.au Privacy Policy outlines
how we manage the personal information we hold about our members.
Commonwealth Government privacy legislation,
which came into effect on 21 December 2001, extended the operation of the
Privacy Act 1988 to cover the operation of private sector not-for-profit
organisations. Small Businesses (those with an annual turnover of $3 million
or less in the previous financial year) are exempt from the legislation.
As a result, Agapenet is currently
exempt from the legislation. However, we intend, as far as possible, to
comply with the legislation.
